Main Street was filled with Halloween spirit as our office and our Second District Youth Advisory Council students joined the City of Lake Elsinore's annual Trunk or Treat. From creative costumes to decorated trunks, it was a festive evening of family fun in downtown Lake Elsinore.

Celebrating 120 years of service, friendship, and community with the Elsinore Woman's Club was a wonderful reminder of the difference dedicated women can make across generations.

I was pleased to join the club's 120th Anniversary Celebration and recognize the members whose commitment has helped carry this organization's legacy forward. Milestones like this are a tribute to both the women who laid the foundation and those continuing their work today.

"Grand by Design" reflects the collaboration and community spirit that help shape Corona's future.

Our office joined Mayor Jacque Casillas and community members at the Historic Civic Center Theater for the City of Corona's 2026 State of the City address. The evening highlighted the importance of working together and the shared commitment of residents, businesses, and community partners to their city.

For 251 years, the United States Navy has defended our nation, protected freedom on the seas, and stood ready to respond when called.

As we celebrate the Navy’s birthday, we recognize the courage, skill, and dedication of the Sailors who serve around the world. Their work helps keep vital sea lanes open, supports our allies, and brings humanitarian assistance to communities in times of crisis.

To our Navy veterans, active-duty and Reserve Sailors, and the families who stand beside them, thank you for your service and sacrifice.

The 2026 County of Riverside State of the County event will bring hundreds of stakeholders together to honor the past through America’s 250th anniversary, and highlight recent projects that will support the region’s growing community.

The State of the County event will be held on December 9 at the Riverside Convention Center. Doors will open at 5 p.m., with a presentation on Riverside County’s position by Board Chair Karen Spiegel. The event also includes networking opportunities and an expo of businesses and services.

“There is a rich history in the Riverside County area, dating back before our country was born,” said Board Chair Karen Spiegel, Second District Supervisor. “As we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary, we honor the milestones that made our current communities possible, while also sharing the investments we’ve made that will strengthen our future.”

County Supervisors will provide a historical look back within their district, as well as current special projects funded by the American Rescue Plan Act. These projects and programs support and improve the quality of life for the 2.4 million residents who call Riverside County home.

“Our community today is shaped by our history,” said Board Vice Chair Yxstian Gutierrez, Fifth District Supervisor. “America’s 250th anniversary is a good time to recognize that. It’s also a good time to show residents what we’re doing to serve them.”

Early bird ticket pricing is available now until November 25 at $60 per person. The ticket price on or after November 26 will be $75 per person. Residents who wish to attend without receiving a meal will not be charged.

A new space can open the door to new possibilities. I enjoyed joining Inspire Life Skills Training, Inc. for the "Opening Doors, Inspiring Futures" open house celebrating their new office and classroom space.

Created to help former foster youth and youth who have experienced homelessness learn, grow, and build toward independence, this space marks a meaningful next chapter for Inspire and the young people they serve.

Congratulations to the Inspire team, and thank you for helping young people develop the skills and confidence to shape their futures.
