Clouds from hurricane Isaias are starting to build over Obion County making for this beautiful sunset. Be careful everyone and remember to slow down in the rain. We prefer to stay in our dry homes tomorrow.

This month we are highlighting our member Bobby Curry. Bobby has been an outstanding member of the Rives Volunteer Fire Department. Bobby is always there when you need him and works hard to get the job done. I hear from so many people that they don't join because they are too busy or I'm just not the healthiest person. Bobby has a prosthetic leg and he works just as hard as anyone else does. For that he was awarded firefighter of the year for 2026.
There is a place for anyone in our department, you just have to be willing to step up. Thank you Bobby for your hard work.

Rives is currently assisting Kenton FD with a structure fire on Old Turnpike Rd in Mason Hall. Please avoid this area as it is very congested. Also tankers are shuttling water from Kenton.
