As the Village of North Palm Beach celebrates 70 years, it is also celebrating the people whose lives and stories are woven into the community’s history. Few individuals embody the spirit of the Village quite like Karen Marcus.

Karen’s story with North Palm Beach began almost at the very beginning of the Village itself. In the 1950s, her father accepted a position with Pratt & Whitney as one of the company’s first seven employees in the area. Soon after, the Marcus family became one of the first families to move into a home on Bay Road in the newly developing Village.
