Join RAM House’s Mortgage Reduction Campaign today and help us protect the future of the Jain Care Center.

👉 Give here: https://raminc.salsalabs.org/starcitychallenge/index.html

Reducing our mortgage means more of every donated dollar can go directly toward the work that matters most—meals, recovery services, employment support, and programs that help people move from crisis toward stability and independence.

We need our community behind us. Every gift moves us closer to reducing this debt and freeing resources for the mission. Please join the campaign today.

🏆 RAM House Was Honored with the 2026 Inspiration Award!

We are incredibly grateful to the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce for recognizing RAM House with the 2026 Inspiration Award at its recent Small Business Celebration!

We are also proud to share this special recognition with Goodwill Industries of the Valleys, another organization making a tremendous difference in our community!

At RAM House, inspiration isn't just about what we accomplish. It's about the lives being changed every day through compassion, generosity, and a community willing to lend a helping hand.

This award belongs to ALL of you! ❤️

To our dedicated staff, volunteers, donors, community partners, and everyone who believes in our mission — THANK YOU! Your support allows us to continue serving our neighbors facing homelessness, hunger, and life's most difficult challenges.

We're excited to share this special video highlighting RAM House and the work being done in our community. Thank you to the Roanoke Regional Chamber for this wonderful recognition and for helping tell our story!

🤝 STRONG PARTNERSHIPS. STRONGER COMMUNITY.

RAM House was honored to welcome City of Roanoke Manager Valmarie Turner and Assistant City Manager Lavar Youmans for a tour of our new Jain Care Center, hosted by Executive Director Melissa Woodson.

Since 1971, RAM House has been built on the power of community collaboration. As a nonprofit, we are proud of the public-private partnerships that bring together local government, businesses, faith communities, and generous individuals to serve our neighbors in need.

We extend a special THANK YOU to the City of Roanoke for its continued support, partnership, and commitment to our mission. Your investment helps us provide hope, dignity, and life-changing services to those facing homelessness and hardship in our community.

Together, we're making a difference!

♿ “Accessibility is not a privilege, it’s a right.”

Those words from Anna Guardipee say so much about why accessibility matters at RAM House.

We recently dedicated our accessible elevator in honor of Anna and in loving memory of her dear friend, Jenny Burton, with a permanent plaque recognizing their story and friendship.

For Anna, knowing that people with accessibility challenges can now fully access RAM House and the services we provide is something that makes her incredibly proud.

🎥 This is just a short preview. A full interview with Anna is coming soon, where she shares more about Jenny, the dedication, and what accessibility means to her.

Natalie Faunce thank you for showing the "good news" and also the "good things" that are being done to help our community!

Progress isn’t just about getting someone off the street — it’s about helping them get to a place where they can move forward.

Mark’s story is a great example of that.

He’s working at Pizza Hut, maintaining his job, and now living much closer to work. That move has already opened the door for additional hours at another Pizza Hut location — and he’s looking ahead to even better employment opportunities.

This is why Recovery Services Director Danny Cox and Director of Employment Programming Kisha Hunter are so vital to the work at RAM House.

Recovery is an important first step. But helping someone become stable enough to work, keep a job, build confidence, and pursue better opportunities is part of lasting change.

We’re proud of Mark and the progress he’s making.
