During today’s Board of Supervisors meeting, county administration recognized Communications Director Amy Whittaker for outstanding regional cooperation. Amy recently lent her expertise in crisis communication to the Town of Vinton.

When military mu****on was discovered at a local recycling business, she helped Vinton's communication team navigate communication needs. Amy stayed late into the night to assist with press releases and media while US Army and public safety personnel handled disposal.

Thank you, Amy, for your dedicated service to Roanoke County and our regional partners.

Did you hear? Roanoke's Crumbl was the best performing location in the nation for an entire month.

We were excited to welcome the store to Roanoke County and it turns out everyone else was, too!

Things are only getting better in Old Country Plaza as George's Flowers and W**e Gourmet are also preparing to move in.

And just down the road Roanoke County Economic Development announced exciting new businesses, including Dave's Hot Chicken, Biscuit Belly and Bubbakoo's Burritos, will open in the Tanglewood Crossing development.
