There will be special t-shirts marking the occasion and the first 300 cars registered for Saturday's show will receive this high quality, stamped metal license plate commemorating the event!

It was a pleasure to host the Norfolk & Western Historical Society's opening night of their 2026 convention at the museum last night. The barbecue was such a great chance to see old and new friends. Thank you N&WHS for giving us this opportunity!

The RV-6 experimental aircraft is a low wing monoplane of aluminum construction. RV structures are "monocoque" or "stressed skin" designs. This means the skins themselves provide much of the airframe's strength. The skins are in turn supported by an internal structure of ribs, spars, and bulkheads, just like production light aircraft. The RV-6 has a top speed of 202 miles per hour. The plane's width spans 23 feet from wing tip to wing tip and the length spans 20 feet 2-1/2 inches from nose to tail.

The rain has moved out and it looks like pretty weather this weekend. Don't forget the CAR SHOW at the 5th Annual Star City Rockabilly Festival at the Virginia Museum of Transportation! Free to enter, and if you bring a car you get into the show for free (admission for others is $10 for ages over 12). Car show starts at 4:00 pm. Three great bands from 4:30 - 9:00 pm. Food, beer/wine, pin-up contest, and more!
