Another successful Let’s Clean the Trail event!

Yesterday, we came together to honor Tommy May, who this trail was named after, and continue his legacy of caring for our community and the environment.

Our group may have been a little smaller than usual, but we were mighty! We spread two large piles of mulch throughout the upper paths of the trail, helping to improve and maintain this beautiful space for everyone to enjoy.

A huge THANK YOU to our incredible volunteers who showed up, worked hard, and gave their time to make a difference. We truly couldn’t do it without you!

As summer winds down, one of nature’s most incredible journeys is getting underway.
Monarch butterflies across New Jersey are beginning their long journey south to Mexico, where they will spend the winter. These beautiful butterflies can travel thousands of miles, following an instinctive route that has been passed down through generations. Along the way, they depend on milkweed and other native flowers, like this New England Aster that this monarch was resting on, for food and fuel.
This particular garden is located right outside the Little Red School House on Folsom Way and was planted by Matthew Catalfomo and Troop 91.
It’s wonderful to see the native plantings providing an important stop along the way for our local pollinators.
This week is a great time to highlight both the monarch migration and the work our community members are doing to support pollinators here in Robbinsville!
