We have had some county patrons asking about our fall work. You will see county trucks going down the roads with two people in the vehicle. They are spraying thistles along with other state listed noxious w**ds. It is NOT too late to spray. We use residual herbicides that will last into next year. Yes, we know many of these have already went to seed, but spraying a perimeter around the plants will eliminate many of the seeds for next growing season. Sending two applicators to do these treatments one driving and one spraying is the safest way to make these applications on the roadside. We are not trying to waste any of your money we are just trying to control noxious w**ds and keep our employees safe!

We still have some cost share available! Do you need help spraying we can do that! Cost share costs are $35 per acre call to get on the list. It is not too late to spray! Many w**ds have better control when sprayed later in the season. By using residual herbicides, spraying in the fall will help control the issue into the following growing season. So, if your pasture or wasteland is getting over ran by thistles, knapw**d, rush skeleton w**d, or leafy spurge call us and let’s get it under control! 208-745-9221

We have been lacking posting on Facebook this summer! The crews have been working hard to beat the heat finishing up contracts with the BLM and ITD along with keeping up with private landowner's work. The roadside crew are in the heat of the never-ending battle with kochia on the right of ways and are slowly making headway. Last week we had the opportunity to go up to Harriman State Park to work with one of our cooperative w**d management groups. Our crew along with Fremont County, Madison County, Teton County, ITD, and the park's crew was able to knock out 200 acres in one day. The CWMA creates a great opportunity for all of us to come together and help fight noxious w**ds!
