Great news for Elmridge Plaza, Bozza Pasta, and the Town of Greece! This is another leap forward in the revitalization of Elmridge Plaza. Thank you Supervisor Reilich for prioritizing economic development and combating commercial vacancy, and thanks as well to our local partner Wegman Companies for their continued investment in this community.

Exciting news at Elm Ridge Center! Bozza Pasta is coming soon!! Bozza Pasta produces an assortment of traditional and epicurean pasta ranging from long cut egg pasta to lobster and mascarpone ravioli. With the Ever growing demand for gluten free and diet specific foods, Bozza also offers certified gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian pasta for both retail and food service customers. The Town of Greece Department of Economic Development seeks an Office Clerk IV to assist with:

Accepting applications and payments

Attends and records municipal board meetings

Prepares and publishes legal notices and neighborhood notifications

Organize materials for mailing

Prepares referrals to departments and agencies

Organizes and files application materials / Perform file searches

Answers telephone and obtain/gives out routine information

Must be organized and able to meet strict deadlines

Proficient in typing and use of word processing software

Able to communicate efficiently both orally and in writing

The position will be available on or about October 21, 2021.

Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time)

Salary range: $31,147 - $45,455 with a very comprehensive and competitive benefit package and New York State Retirement.

Applicant Instructions:

Candidates must be willing to accept a provisional appointment and be reachable on a future civil service list in the title of Office Clerk IV.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma

GROW GREECE ANNOUNCEMENT

Bill Reilich Greece Town Supervisor is pleased to announce that our GROW Greece Commercial Occupancy Incentive Funds are available to assist with the cost of physical improvements and renovations necessary to re-occupy an existing commercial space that has become vacant as a direct result of impacts associated with the COVID-19 public health crisis (Renovation Funds). Additional funds are available to help cover certain social distancing improvements (Adaptive Improvement Funds).
The town will begin accepting applications on Friday, March 5, 2021, and awards will be granted on a rolling basis until funds are exhausted. Program funds have been allocated from a supplement to the town’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), pursuant to the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act of 2020.
