It’s incredible to see our state leaders deliver for Rochester and move the needle on our housing crisis! 💙

$20 million secured to demolish the Terrence Building and build 500 new housing units! ✅🏠🏗️

For nearly 3 decades, the Terrance Building has sat forgotten and unused — but not anymore. At a time when Rochester urgently needs more accessible and affordable housing, this investment is a major step to ensure 's individuals and families have a place to call home. I was proud to work alongside Governor Hochul and my colleagues to help make this project a reality.

Within days of the Pride flag flying over Webster Town Hall for the first time in the town's history, three council members voted to take it down. The 3-2 vote passed a new policy limiting the flags that can be flown on town flagpoles. The Monroe County Young Democrats strongly condemns the rushed removal of the Pride Flag.
Garrett Wagner, a recently elected Democrat, had a choice. He could have stood with the LGBTQ+ residents, families, and young people of Webster. Instead, he voted to strip down a symbol of their belonging during the one month set aside to affirm it.
