The Jewish world mourns the passing of Israeli artist Yaakov Agam at 98. Agam’s work encompassed the monumental - like his famed sculpture/fountain in Dizengoff Circle in Tel Aviv - to the personal and spiritual, like his kiddish cups and other ritual objects. Of course his famous multi-angular painting style (known as Agamographs) and vibrant colors set his art apart from the mainstream, and laid a bold course for other artists to follow. May his memory be a blessing.

Jewish Home’s “Come Be You” advertising campaign continues to receive recognition for its empowering and engaging messaging and imagery. Recent awards were granted by four entities — national honors from the Healthcare Advertising Awards and The Aster Awards and local recognition from the American Marketing Association and American Advertising Federation.

The campaign celebrates older adults living their best lives who want to "be themselves," rather than being defined by their age, with Jewish Home positioned as a welcoming, vibrant, and supportive community. Happy Father's Day and first day of summer!

Thank you to the fathers who teach tradition at the Shabbat table, who model leadership in community, who share Jewish values with the next generation, and make summer memories infused with Jewish joy.

This Shabbat, recognize Juneteenth and recommit to the sacred work of pursuing justice and freedom for all. The Jewish value of “tzedek, tzedek tirdof” (justice, justice you shall pursue) calls on us to build communities rooted in equity, dignity, and justice for everyone. Shabbat Shalom.
