Come meet our new iZonies!

Name: Chase Hayden

Position: Curriculum Design Assistant

Chase Hayden is a Biomedical Engineering/Neuroengineering student with a passion for designing with people and their needs always in mind. Chase finds ways to incorporate this passion in all he does, including in music performance, leading the Red Cross Club on campus, delivering talks such as TEDxURochester, and in his job at iZone as a curriculum design assistant. In this iZone position, he develops and delivers curriculum centered around creative problem solving; he is currently focusing on presenting the idea of human-centered design to engineering students and the idea of learning through play!

Name: Ana Galic

Position: Graphic Designer

Ana is originally from Serbia, and is currently a junior double majoring in Computer Science and Digital Media Studies. At iZone, she creates visual campaigns that drive community engagement, along with other fun design-related projects. She chose to study CS and DMST because the two fields complement each other, and she genuinely enjoys exploring the intersection between art and technology. She also just finished a summer of video game development research, for which she received the Schwartz Discover Grant. When Ana is not working or studying, you’ll probably find her baking cookies or watching her millionth TV show of the day.

CulinariZone was a success!
We teamed up with the RIT Center for Urban Entrepreneurship to bring the incredible Degwanda Gause (Chef Dede) from DDEggs & More right to campus! 🍳🔥
Our students got a front-row seat to a live cooking demonstration, dived into the rich cultural history of soul food, and shared a tasting of delicious fried chicken, baked mac & cheese, and seasoned collard greens.
Shoutout to Chef Dede for inspiring our students and showing us what community engagement is all about! 🙌
