🚒🔥 FIRE PREVENTION WEEK 2026 🔥🚒
October 4–10, 2026

⚡ “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower!” ⚡

This week, the Rock Hall Volunteer Fire Company joins fire departments across the nation in recognizing Fire Prevention Week!

This year's theme focuses on the importance of safely charging devices powered by lithium-ion batteries, including cell phones, tablets, laptops, power tools, e-bikes, and scooters.

🔋 Simple steps can prevent a tragedy!

✅ Always use manufacturer-approved charging equipment.
✅ Charge devices on hard, flat surfaces, away from anything that can burn.
✅ Never charge batteries under pillows, blankets, or on beds.
✅ Stop using batteries that become unusually hot, swollen, damaged, or emit strange odors.
✅ Keep charging equipment away from exits and escape routes.
✅ Make sure your home has working smoke alarms and a family fire escape plan.

❤️ Fire prevention starts with YOU!
Our volunteer firefighters are always ready to respond when emergencies happen, but preventing fires before they start is our greatest mission.

Take a few minutes today to talk with your family about fire safety. Those few minutes could save a life!

Join us for our Open House on Sunday, October 11th at the Fire Station.
