Early Learning Partnership of York County Reading with a young child is the single most important activity to prepare them for school. To that end, Early Learning was formed as of July 5, 2005.

Early Learning formerly conducted its activities as part of the United Way’s β€œSuccess By 6” initiative. As the activities of Early Learning expanded, however, the Board of Directors of the United Way and the Success By 6 Advisory Committee concluded that the programs now administered by Early Learning would be better servedβ€”and the future growth and development of those programs more assuredβ€”if they were managed by an independent corporation with its own Board of Directors and decision making authority.

Main Street Children's Museum in Rock Hill is hosting Wee Wednesdays & Letter of the Week (on Thursdays) during the month of October! πŸŽƒ These are both drop-in programs from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

At Wee Wednesdays, children sing songs, play instruments, read a story pertaining to the theme, and finish with a themed craft.

Each Thursday, children can learn a different letter of the alphabet through singing and practicing identifying items that start with that letter. Afterwards, kids get to search the museum for missing letters to earn a sticker.
