Illinois law requires school districts to establish a Wireless Communication Device Policy by the 2027–2028 school year. The policy must address device use, storage, consistent enforcement, and trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate implementation.
We want to hear from our school community. Join us to learn more, ask questions, and share your feedback. Scholars, family, staff, and community input will help inform RIMSD41’s policy.
Our first meetings will take place after fall break on October 20, 21, and 22, when we will review current practices and begin gathering community input.
