Charge large items like e-bikes, scooters, and power tools outside when possible. Do not block exits when charging. These batteries store more energy, and fires can grow quickly if they fail.

Do you have an emergency plan? Where is your meeting place? It is important to have a plan in case the worst happens. Be sure to talk to your kids so they know the plan as well! This is the perfect time to practice a safety drill as a family!

Use the cord and charger that came with your device or ones approved by the manufacturer. Using the wrong charger can damage the battery and increase the risk of fire. For more info:

It is fire safety week! We will be sharing posts that go along with our theme this year “Firefighters are my Friends!” We hope this sparks some great conversations with your children on fire safety and what to do if a fire would occur.

If see a lighter, matches, or something hot, don’t touch. Tell a grown-up!

September 11, 2001, a day we remember as if it were yesterday.

25 years later, we continue to remember the heroes who answered the call and never made it home.

To our brothers and sisters who gave their lives that day, we remember you, we honor you, and we thank you.

To the families who lost loved ones, we stand with you as you carry on their memories.

And to the men and women who have defended our freedom, we salute you.

Never Forget. 🇺🇸
