💧 PLEASE CONSERVE WATER

The Borough of Rockaway is currently conducting emergency repairs to a municipal well. To help maintain adequate water pressure and ensure a reliable water supply throughout the Borough, we are asking all residents to conserve water until further notice.

Please limit water use where possible, including:
• Lawn watering
• Car washing
• Laundry and dishwasher use

Your cooperation will help reduce demand on the Borough's water system while repairs are underway.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this emergency repair. An update will be provided as soon as repairs are complete and normal water use can resume.

Thank you for your cooperation. 💧

🔥 Rockaway Borough: Extreme Heat Warning – Stay Safe 🔥

Dangerously hot conditions are expected today. Residents and businesses are asked to take extra precautions to protect themselves, their families, neighbors, and pets.

A few important heat safety reminders:

💧 Drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
☀️ Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (10 AM–4 PM).
🏠 Check on elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone without air conditioning.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and take frequent breaks if working outdoors.
🐾 Make sure pets have plenty of fresh water and shade, and avoid walking them on hot pavement.
