Being prepared doesn’t stop when you leave home. Keeping a well-stocked emergency kit in your vehicle can help you stay safe during a breakdown, severe weather, traffic delay, or other unexpected situation.

Consider keeping water, nonperishable snacks, a first aid kit, flashlight and extra batteries, jumper cables, a phone charger, basic tools, reflective warning devices, blankets, warm clothing, and seasonal items like an ice scraper or small shovel in your car.

A few simple supplies can make a big difference when you need them most.
