🍂 LEAF COLLECTION REMINDER – RESIDENTS 🍂

Please be advised that loose leaf piles cannot be placed at the curb until our leaf collection program begins in November.

If you already have loose leaf piles in front of your home, they must be bagged for Tuesday’s collection.

⚠️ Important Safety Reminder: Leaves left in the street can create serious hazards during rainstorms by blocking storm drains, causing water to back up and increasing the risk of street flooding.

We ask all residents to please cooperate and help keep our streets, storm drains, and neighborhoods safe and clean.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding! 🍁

🚧 PECO GAS MAIN WORK – SATURDAY 🚧

Residents are advised that PECO crews will begin work at approximately 6:00 AM this Saturday September 26 in Rockledge as part of the ongoing gas main project.

PECO has requested the early start due to the coordination required between multiple crews to complete the gas main retirement, tie-ins, cuts, and caps. Beginning at 6:00 AM will also allow crews to take advantage of lighter traffic and complete the work as efficiently as possible.

Work hours are expected to be approximately 6:00 AM–2:00 PM.

Crews will backfill completed areas as work progresses in an effort to remove roadway plates as soon as possible.

We understand that a 6:00 AM Saturday start is earlier than normal and appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while PECO works to complete this phase of the project.

HELP SHAPE THE FUTURE OF ROCKLEDGE!

You may have heard the term “Comprehensive Plan,” but what exactly does that mean?

A Comprehensive Plan is essentially a long-term roadmap for the future of our community. It helps guide decisions about things like:

• Land use and development
• Parks and recreation
• Roads, sidewalks and transportation
• Housing
• Community facilities and services
• Economic development
• Preserving the character of our community
• Future priorities and improvements

A Comprehensive Plan does not mean everything in it will happen immediately. Instead, it helps Borough officials plan ahead and make thoughtful decisions based on where we want Rockledge to be in the years to come.

📋 Rockledge Borough is currently working on a new Comprehensive Plan, and an important part of that process will be hearing directly from the people who live here.

In the coming months, residents can look forward to a community survey asking for your input on what is important to you, what you value about Rockledge, what you believe could be improved, and what you would like to see for our community’s future.

This is your community, and your input matters.

Please keep an eye out for more information and the upcoming resident survey. We hope everyone will take a few minutes to participate and help us plan for the future of Rockledge!

The current Comprehensive Plan can be found at
