Pioneer extends our thanks to Senator Megan Dahle, Assemblymember Cecilia Aguiar-Curry, and Assemblymember Gail Pellerin for their leadership in recognizing the importance of this issue.

We're thrilled to see this important legislation advance and commend the work that strengthens California's forest resilience and expands opportunities to reinvest in and protect our communities.

Senator Megan Dahle is highlighting the role of biomass power in forest management across the North State. Biomass facilities turn wood waste from forest-thinning projects into renewable electricity 🌲💡

Senator Dahle co-authored Assembly Bill 706 with Assemblymembers Cecilia Aguiar-Curry and Gail Pellerin. The bill would allow the State Board of Forestry to use Timber Fund and Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund resources to maintain and expand biomass energy facilities and restart idle plants, particularly in areas with high tree mortality and significant forest management needs.

The Senate recently passed the bill, marking a step toward supporting California’s biomass and forest-products industries while advancing forest health and renewable energy.

Unplug unused devices to stop the flow of energy completely. If you have a power strip, just turn it off for the same effect!
