The Edwards County Sheriff's Office has received numerous complaints of ATVs and UTVs being operated throughout Rocksprings.

Operating an unregistered vehicle on public roadways is against the law, and citations will be issued for violations.

🚨 SCAM ALERT — EDWARDS COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

The Edwards County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware that individuals are receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be affiliated with the Sheriff’s Office. The caller claims that the recipient has outstanding warrants and demands immediate payment of fines.

THIS IS A SCAM!

The Edwards County Sheriff’s Office will NEVER call and demand payment over the phone to resolve warrants or fines.Please do not send money, provide financial information, or share personal information with these callers.

If you receive one of these calls, hang up and contact the Edwards County Sheriff’s Office directly (830) 683-4104 if you have concerns.

UPDATE: Phone lines are back working.

At this time Southwest telephone company is working on fiber optic lines on College and Austin Street.

The Sheriff's Office phone systems will be down at this time. 911 calls are being transferred to a neighboring county, where the call will be sent to us through radio dispatch. Non emergency line 830-683-7195

Last night Edwards County Sheriff's Deputies along with the Rocksprings Fire Department had to rescue an individual who's vehicle was washed off the road on RR 674.

UPDATE: The subject has been identified.

At around 8:10 PM, an Edwards County Sheriff's Deputy conducted a traffic stop on North Wells Street near the Attic.

The driver ran east from the vehicle towards HWY 377. The driver is wearing a dirty white t-shirt, jeans, and has curly short hair.

Law Enforcement is currently in the area searching for the subject.
