🔎🕵️ A mystery was afoot at GMS this week!

Students and staff put on their detective hats to solve one puzzling question: What did Wadsworth, the school's mysterious nighttime butler, witness that had him so concerned?

Throughout the week, our Bold Bucks put their critical thinking and teamwork skills to the test as they worked together to crack codes, solve riddles, and uncover clues.

After a week of suspense, surprising discoveries, and plenty of laughs, the mystery was finally solved! And the big reveal? What seemed so suspicious turned out to be something pretty sweet! 🍪 Someone was simply planning to bake delicious treats for our students and staff!

To celebrate cracking the case, everyone enjoyed cookies today!

A huge thank-you to everyone who participated and helped make this week so much fun! It was a week filled with mystery, laughter, teamwork, and a little something sweet!

Choosing to live a healthy, drug-free lifestyle takes courage and leadership. The theme teaches students that those everyday choices positively influence friends, families, and communities, and that those true heroes are everyday people who make responsible choices rather than fictional characters.

Monday, Oct 26 - Bee A HERO Day
Slogan: “Heroes Don’t Let Drugs Bug Them”
Attire: Wear Spider-Man, Ant-Man, bug-character shirts, antennae, ladybug dots, or red/black dotted clothing.

Tuesday, Oct 27 - Camouflage Day
Slogan: “Heroes Stand Up Against Drugs, They Don’t Blend In”
Attire: Wear Camo prints, cargo pants and/or utility jackets.

Wednesday, Oct 28 – Decades Day
Slogan: “Heroes Know Drugs Are Out of Style in Any Era”
Attire: Wear 70s Boho/Disco/Hippie, 80s Neon, 90s Baggy/Grunge, or Y2K Style throwback outfits.

Thursday, Oct 29 – B.O.L.D and RED-y Day
Slogan: “Heroes are IncREDibly B.O.L.D.”
Attire: Wear RED, Incredibles graphic tees, socks or suits (Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Dash or Violet) or BOLD Bucks blue/gold.

Friday, Oct 30 - Farmers Day
Slogan: “Heroes Sow the Seeds of a Drug-Free Future”
Attire: Wear denim overalls, plaid or flannel shirt, straw or cowboy hat, boots or sneakers.

Extra Yard For Teachers: Katelyn Weathers has been teaching 8th Grade ELA at Gable Middle School for 9 years. She is currently Gable's ELA Department Chairperson, 2026 GMS Distinguished Literacy Teacher of the Year, and a former GMS Teacher of the Year. She is an incredibly gifted reading and writing teacher who makes a positive impact on her students and colleagues on a daily basis. Her students are challenged to be better readers in and out of the classroom. And of course, she is a huge college football fan (this is where she would say "Go Clemson Tigers!!!"). Mrs. Weathers is a true gift to the students and staff at Gable Middle School!
