We are deeply saddened to hear of John’s passing. He was truly a pillar of Downtown Rome and his impact will never be forgotten. He will be missed more than words can say. Sending all our love and prayers to his family and everyone at Schroeder’s New Deli.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a vital part of our restaurant and our community. John touched the lives of so many - through music, food, and his love and empathy for others. He will be greatly missed by many.

Please keep the Schroeder family, staff, and friends in your thoughts as we navigate this difficult time and honor the legacy of someone who meant so much to so many.

One more DAY!!

Oktoberfest is on and we are ready! Join us tomorrow immediately following Fiddlin' Fest and keep the party going in the River District!

Here are some important things to note:

1) There is NO admission fee to attend Oktoberfest.

2) The event is at the Nova parking lot BUT parking is NOT free there. Feel free to find parking on the River District or across the bridge at the 3rd Avenue Parking Deck.

3) The Roman Chariot will be running a free pick-up service. Text your location to 706-413-2822 and it can pick you and drop you off at Oktoberfest :)

The best news you'll hear all day is that we are STILL on for tomorrow!

There is NO admission fee for the festival but there will be food, drink and plenty of goodies to purchase from our merchants and vendors.
