What a week! As National 4-H Week comes to a close, we’re reflecting on an absolute whirlwind of excitement, hard work, and all things 4-H!

Between County Council, Rabbit Club, in-school club meetings, the Coosa Valley Fair and the Georgia National Fair our 4-H’ers have been everywhere! A huge shoutout as well to our livestock exhibitors showing down at the Georgia National Fair today and our archery team also practicing today!🐄🐑🎯🏆

To all our members, parents, volunteers, and supporters: thank you for making this week so special. National 4-H Week may be coming to a close, but 4-H never slows down! 💚🍀

🍀 Happy National 4‑H Week 🍀

Ms. Abbie and Ms. Carma kicked things off judging at the Coosa Valley Fair, then wrapped up the day at County Council with special guest Ms. Rhonda, who shared her “Cool Careers” journey in Dental Hygiene.

Our 4‑H’ers got hands‑on with dental hygiene skills and made Project Pumpkins to show off their DPA ideas.

🍀 We're Excited to Kick Off Year Two of the Allie Griner Leadership4Life Program! 🍀

Created to honor the legacy of beloved 4-H Agent Allie Griner, this unique program equips Georgia high school students with essential leadership, communication, decision-making, and workforce readiness skills through a combination of virtual and in-person experiences.

During the first year of the program, participants developed skills in professional communication, public speaking, conflict management, resume writing, interviewing, leadership development, etiquette, and community engagement.

Participants described Leadership4Life as a "life-changing" and "transformational" experience that increased their confidence, strengthened their leadership abilities, and prepared them for future success. Following the program, several youth went on to achieve significant accomplishments, including earning Georgia 4-H Master status, serving on the Georgia 4-H State Board of Directors, advancing into leadership roles, and excelling in competitive events.

As we begin our second year, we look forward to continuing Allie's legacy by helping young people become confident leaders in their schools, communities, and future careers.

💚 Here's to another year of growing leaders, building confidence, and creating opportunities that last a lifetime!

🐰 Happy International Rabbit Day! 🐰

Our rabbit-loving students had a fantastic way to celebrate—by spending the day at the West Georgia Rabbit Club’s Fall Show in Carrollton, Georgia!

Our students proudly showed their Havanas, Mini Rex, Netherland Dwarfs, Tans, and Thriantas, and we are excited to share that every breed our students showed received a Best of Breed award! This led to our students being recognized at the Best in Show table! We are so grateful to all of the judges and show staff that made today a great day!

A special shout-out to Easton, who attended his very first rabbit show!

We love celebrating our furry friends and sharing what makes rabbits so special! Here are a few fun rabbit facts:

1. There are more than 50 recognized rabbit breeds in the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA).

2. A domestic rabbit may live up to 12 years!

3. Dr. Betty Chu’s English Angora, “Franchesca,” holds the record for the longest fur on a rabbit at an incredible 36.5 cm (14.37 inches)!
