🚧 ROAD CONSTRUCTION NOTICE – STATE STREET PROJECT 🚧

Road work will begin on State Street starting Monday, October 19, 2026.

📍 Project Area: State Street from 200 North to 300 South

What work will be completed?

Crews will be working on several important infrastructure improvements, including:

🔹 Installation of a new water line

🔹 New water service connections

🔹 Installation of fire hydrants

🔹 Roadway patching over waterline trenches

Construction will begin at the north end near 200 North and progress south along State Street.

⚠️ IMPORTANT TRAFFIC & PARKING INFORMATION

🚦 Beginning Friday, October 16, crews will start placing traffic control cones and equipment in preparation for construction.

🚗 No Street Parking: Residents are asked to keep vehicles off the roadway throughout the construction period to allow crews to work safely and efficiently.

🗑️ Garbage Collection: Trash cans may still be placed along the roadway on regularly scheduled collection days.

Phase 1 is expected to be completed by November 15, 2026.

We appreciate everyone's patience and cooperation as we work to improve Roosevelt City's water infrastructure and roadways!

Please use caution when traveling through construction areas and watch for crews and equipment. There may be sections of the street that will be closed off during the project to thru traffic.🚧

Roosevelt City is still looking for referees and scorekeepers for our 3rd–7th Grade Junior Jazz leagues!

💰 NEW PAY RATE: $15.00 per hour/game!

🏀 Positions: Referees & Scorekeepers

📅 Game Times: 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM

✅ Requirements: Must be 16 years or older to apply.

🚧 800 EAST SIDEWALK PROJECT UPDATE! 🚧

Progress continues on the new sidewalk project along 800 East between 250 North and 400 North!

Crews have been hard at work and have completed several important steps:

✅ Removed all existing curb that needs to be replaced.

✅ Placed the road base that will support the new sidewalk.

✅ Adjusted the height of water meters that will be impacted by the new sidewalk.

👷 What's Next?

Starting tomorrow 10/9, crews will begin pouring the new concrete curbs and sidewalks!

⚠️ Please use caution when traveling through the area, and pedestrians are reminded to stay clear of the construction zone.

🚧 ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE – BALLARD 1000 SOUTH ROAD REALIGNMENT 🚧

Great progress is being made on the new road connection between 1000 South in Ballard and 800 South in Roosevelt, near Centennial Elementary School!

👷 Perco Rock has been hard at work this past week, completing several major portions of the project!

✅ Recently Completed:

Concrete box culvert

Headwalls and wingwalls

🚜 What's Coming Next?

Over the next week, crews anticipate:

Rerouting the creek's flow through the newly completed box culvert

Placing riprap (large rocks) to help prevent erosion

Beginning the backfill process around the culvert

We're excited to see this project moving forward and appreciate the hard work of the crews making this new road connection possible!
