Our goals are: share news and events from the local party and candidates, share local news and issues, share national and world issues that effect us locally. Guidelines for our posts: keep it positive, no discussion of religion. Guidelines for your posts: please be respectful and constructive. If engaging in a discussion, avoid logical fallacies. Trolls will be banned immediately. Guidelines specific to the 2016 presidential campaigns: we will not endorse any candidate until the national party does. We will try to share candidate posts as fairly as possible. This is very difficult so we decided only to repost if the candidate discusses their position on an issue or policy. Guest opinions: We encourage submitting pieces (like a letter to the editor) as a private message to the page. If the piece meets the page guidelines we are happy to share it. We encourage open discourse, so all points of view are welcome.

I am very grateful to have had the opportunity to speak with members of the Douglas County Livestock Association (DCLA) at their October board meeting. DCLA plays a vital role in our region by delivering educational opportunities, fostering community among livestock producers, and encouraging youth participation in livestock activities. Their work directly supports local ranchers as they navigate complex industry challenges.

If elected to the board of the Douglas Soil and Water Conservation District, I will collaborate closely with DCLA to understand their priorities and identify strategic partnership opportunities that benefit local livestock operations while advancing soil and water conservation across Douglas County.

Thanks to the generosity of several donors, we’re excited to offer a limited number of complimentary tickets to our Flegel Fall Event on October 10th.

While this event helps support the work of the Douglas County Democrats, this year we want it to be about something even more important: bringing people together as we head toward the November election.

More than anything, we want a room full of people who care about the future of Douglas County and are ready to help build momentum for November.

If the cost of a ticket has kept you from joining us, we don't want that to be the reason you stay home. Thanks to generous donations, complimentary tickets are available.
