📢 CAN WE HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, PLEASE! 📢

The Rosemount Police Department is excited to announce the appointment of Sergeant Alex Eckstein and Officer Ashley Sherman as our first Public Information Officers (PIOs)!

As Rosemount continues to grow, so does the importance of keeping our community informed, connected and engaged. These new roles will strengthen the way our department communicates with residents by providing timely, accurate and relevant information about everything from significant incidents and investigations to community programs, public safety information, and the people behind the badge.

So, what does this mean for the community?
It means better communication when it matters most. It means having dedicated members of our department focused on making sure residents have the information they need, when they need it. And it means creating an even stronger connection between the Police Department and the community we are proud to serve.

Sergeant Eckstein will focus on criminal, investigative and department operations-related information, while Officer Sherman will focus on community engagement and public safety information. Together, they will work closely with the City Communications team to help tell the story of the Rosemount Police Department and highlight the partnerships, programs and people that make our community stronger.

We’re excited to have Alex and Ashley step into these roles and help lead our department’s public information efforts. Their experience, commitment to Rosemount and passion for connecting with people make them a great team to take on this responsibility.
