Today, our Westview Elementary students participated in our annual Bus Safety Training! From learning how to safely load and unload to practicing emergency evacuation procedures, our students did a fantastic job learning how to keep themselves and their friends safe on the ride to and from school.

A big thank you to our amazing bus drivers and transportation team for keeping safety top-of-mind and for everything they do every day! Parents, ask your student tonight about the "10-Foot Danger Zone" around the bus and what they learned today!

🔥 Charging into Fire Safety at Diamond Path Elementary! 🚒

⚡This Fire Safety Week, our students had an incredible time learning all about fire prevention and safety directly from local heroes!

A HUGE thank you to the Apple Valley Fire Department (AVFD) for bringing their trucks, gear, and expertise to our school. Students enjoyed engaging, hands-on lessons about how fire extinguishers work and key habits to keep our homes and community safe.

Special congratulations to one of Diamond Path's talented 4th graders, who earned the "Best Poster" award for her amazing design centered around this year’s national theme: "Charging into Fire Safety!" 🏆.

Thank you again to AVFD for taking the time to educate, inspire, and protect our students and staff! ❤️‍🔥

🕵️‍♂️ WHERE ARE WE WEDNESDAY? 🕵️‍♀️
Time for District 196’s favorite guessing game! We feature a different location each week, and it’s up to you to guess where we are.

Here are your clues for today:

🌍 A Global Welcome: As you walk up to this school, you’re greeted by a vibrant row of flags hanging overhead, proudly representing countries from all across the globe.
🎨 International Spirit: Inside and out, student-created artwork celebrates world cultures, symbols, and emblems, reflecting a community deeply connected to global learning.
🪨 Messages of Kindness: Nestled in the garden is "The Kindness Rock Project" sign, inviting students to "Take 1, Give 1, Leave 1". Colorful, hand-painted rocks with messages like "Kindness", "Keep going", and "Give Love" offer an encouraging boost whenever someone needs a smile!

Do you know which District 196 school we’re visiting today? Drop your best guesses in the comments below! 👇✨
