KidsFirst Mission: End child abuse & neglect. Our proven programs help families solve real-life challenges and achieve lasting results.

We are a non-profit community based child abuse prevention agency operating Family Resource Centers which cultivate communities by empowering parents and strengthening families through Prevention, Early Detection, Intervention and Treatment programs. We directly impact the lives of over 5,000 children and individuals across the Sierra-Sacramento region. Another 3,000 families participated in 80 outreach events linking them to countless community resources and learning about prevention and early intervention programs.

We had a blast with Placer County Sheriff's Office at the Deputy Karen Johnson Memorial 5K Fun Run over the weekend! It was a time to honor deputy Johnson and her commitment to the Placer County community, especially the youth 💙
