10/9/26 - Friday Rally for social security in Roseville.
Not only is the US involved in a needless war abroad, but the federal government recently launched a war (immigration raids) across California against Americans and immigrants in a likely attempt to sow fear and discourage people from voting. Our community will not be deterred and we WILL fight back. Use your voice, use your vote, and stand against tyranny.

BREAKING: A Duck sent a cease-and-desist letter to Sacramento news station KXTV after they aired a political ad comparing Kevin Kiley to a duck. "It's deeply offensive to mallards," said a spokesperson for the Duck. "Everyone knows ducks have spines; Kevin Kiley does not."

Kiley dodged* a request to comment and was seen smiling maniacally in front of a Subway sign that read, "Independently owned and operated."

It's unclear whether the ad will be taken down but bird experts noted Kiley's uncanny resemblance to avian creatures. "Kiley's long neck, protruding eyes, and a propensity to quack nonsensically on Newsmax carry similarities to the mallard," said James Fish, an avian expert and professional bird watcher.

*Editors note: An earlier version of this story stated that Kiley ducked our request for comment. We apologized to Duck for the inappropriate language and use of "ducked."

From the SacBee, "Rep. Kevin Kiley’s campaign has sent a cease-and-desist letter to a Sacramento television station over a new political advertisement that compares the congressman to a duck and highlights his past endorsement from President Donald Trump. The 30-second ad — titled “Duck” — began airing Monday on ABC10 (KXTV) and is sponsored by 314 Action Fund, a national pro-science political action committee backing former Democratic State Sen. Richard Pan in the Sacramento region’s 6th District race. It seeks to tie Kiley to Trump, who endorsed Kiley in 2022 during his first campaign for Congress."

HANDS OFF OUR VOTE RALLY: Saturday, Sept. 26, 10-12pm at Galleria/Roseville.

Trump and his cronies are so afraid of losing the upcoming election that they will stop at nothing to keep us from voting. We refuse to let that happen. Come out and show your support for our right to vote in free and fair elections and take a stand for democracy.

25 years later, we remember the lives lost on September 11th and honor the heroic first responders who sacrificed everything.

We honor their legacy by standing up for unity, protecting our fundamental freedoms, and engaging in the hard work of democracy every day.

Sandy Dahl, the wife of Flight 93 pilot Jason Dahl said, “If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate.”

Today, RAD remembers those we lost and reaffirms our pledge to serve Placer County with integrity and unity.

Despite how many "safeguards" are put in place, ALPR cameras are a gross violation of civil liberties and constitutional rights.

RAD has obtained ALPR data from Roseville PD via Public Record Acts Requests. The data is alarming. In just a one-month period, the 37 agencies that RPD shares data with made over 130,000 search inquiries. That's about 97% of all searches - similar to the recent audit in Elk Grove.

RPD has also paid over $500,000 for Flock cameras and services, which includes 42 cameras.
See all the data on our website at: https://rosevilledemocrats.org/government-accountability/

We are still reviewing all the data received and are working with other local groups to coordinate potential actions. What do you think? Should Roseville have any ALPR cameras?

🌟 A Message to Our Roseville Community 🌟

How Roseville Police Department Uses Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) Technology

As your police department, we understand that the use of Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR) technology can raise questions. We live and work in this community alongside you, and we believe it is important to explain how we use this technology, the safeguards we have in place, and our commitment to protecting your privacy, constitutional rights, and trust.

ALPR technology is one of many investigative tools that helps us recover stolen vehicles, identify investigative leads, locate wanted suspects, and support criminal investigations. While the technology’s capabilities matter, how we choose to use it matters even more

Every ALPR alert is treated as an investigative lead. It is not evidence of a crime or probable cause for enforcement action. Before any enforcement action is taken, officers are required to independently verify the information and ensure there is a legal reason for any detention, stop, or arrest. Human judgment, not technology, drives every enforcement decision.

Key Fact:
Roseville Police Department has had zero instances where someone has been subjected to a law enforcement contact solely because of an inaccurate ALPR alert.

This is the direct result of the policies, training, and safeguards we have established to ensure ALPR technology is used responsibly and appropriately.

We share this information because your trust matters to us.

Our commitment is simple:

The Roseville Police Department remains committed to:

• Ethical and responsible technology use
• Transparency and accountability
• Protecting the privacy and constitutional rights of our residents
• Ensuring the safety of everyone in our community
