🎃🍬 Hungry Harvey is HUNGRY! 🍬🎃

Hungry Harvey made his first classroom visit today, and he’s already getting ready for our upcoming Trunk or Treat! 👻🧡 Thank you to everyone who has already helped feed Harvey by donating candy!

🍭 Here’s how it works:
For EVERY bag of candy donated, your child will receive ONE raffle ticket! 🎟️

Those tickets will be entered into our drawing on the night of Trunk or Treat for a chance to win some AWESOME prizes! 🎉 The more candy you donate, the more raffle tickets your child earns — which means more chances to WIN BIG! 🏆

Hungry Harvey will be making his rounds and visiting classrooms every Friday through October 30th, so there are plenty of opportunities to keep him fed! 🍫🍬🍭

LOOK HOW OUR COMMUNITY SHOWED UP!! 💙🧡

READ-A-THON RECAP — WE DID IT, SPANGER!

What. A. Read-a-thon.

Our goal was $12,000… and our incredible Spanger community raised a total of: $14,230!

And our Spartans didn’t just fundraise — they READ! Together, our students logged an amazing 29,165 reading minutes during the Read-a-thon!

🏆 Top Fundraising Class:
Mrs. Lopes’ 2nd Grade — $2,605 raised!

📚 Top Reading Class:
Mrs. Baker’s 2nd Grade — 207 average reading minutes per student!

Both winning classes earned an Ice Cream or Pizza Party!

The funds raised will help the PTC continue bringing assemblies, hands-on learning experiences, special programs, and memorable events to our students throughout the year.

To every student who read a book, filled out a reading log, asked Grandma for a donation, shared their fundraising page, or convinced one more person to support Spanger — YOU helped make this happen.

And judging by all the smiles at our Reading Carnival… we’d say the celebration was pretty successful too.

Thank you, Spanger! We absolutely crushed it!

🧡💙 Celebrating our Spartans and their PERSEVERANCE! 💪🌟

We held our first Character Trait Award Assembly of the year, and what better trait to kick things off with than Perseverance!

These amazing Spartans were recognized for showing that they can keep trying even when something is difficult, work through challenges, and never give up! Whether in the classroom, on the playground, or around campus, they have shown us what it means to keep going and give their best effort. 🏆👏

Congratulations to all of our Perseverance Award recipients! We are so proud of you! 🧡💙

As we head into October, we are excited to introduce our next Character Trait of the Month: INTEGRITY! ✨

Throughout the month, our Spartans will be focusing on being honest, making good choices, and doing the right thing — even when no one is watching.

We can’t wait to see our Spartans put Integrity into action! 🧡💙

🍎🌳 Celebrating Johnny Appleseed Day at Spanger! 🌳🍎

Our Spartans celebrated Johnny Appleseed in so many fun and creative ways across campus! 🧡💙

Our primary grades rolled up their sleeves for some hands-on apple fun — making homemade applesauce from scratch and rotating through different apple-themed stations! 🍏🥄 From tasting and creating to learning and exploring, there was plenty of apple fun to go around!

Our upper-grade Spartans put their STEM skills to the test by engineering their very own apple boats! 🍎⛵ Using apple slices and toothpicks, students designed and built boats before putting them to the ultimate test in a big tub of water. Which designs could float, travel across the water, and outlast the competition?! 💦🔬

From applesauce to apple engineering, it was a day full of creativity, problem-solving, hands-on learning, and plenty of apples! 🍎✨

What a fun way to celebrate Johnny Appleseed across Spanger! 🧡💙
