There's far more to policing than enforcing laws.

This week we were proud to recognize Officer DeJuante Miller with the Life Saving Award for exceptional quick thinking and decisive action during a critical medical emergency.

Responding to a call of a man who experienced sudden cardiac arrest, Officer Miller immediately intervened, administering CPR and coordinating vital care until advanced medical responders arrived, ultimately resulting in his revival.

Well done, Officer Miller, for your dedication and commitment to serving our community in every kind of emergency!

Join us for our annual Trunk or Treat at Roswell City Hall! We'll have candy, games, some cool police cars and fire trucks, candy, photo ops, a petting zoo, candy, music, and also probably some candy.

Costumes are optional but definitely encouraged!

Alive In Roswell is Thursday, October 15! Access to Historic Roswell Antique and Interiors will be accessible from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Please note the following road closures that occur around each venue location:

-Elizabeth Way (Closes at 2:00 PM)
-Webb Street from Canton Street to the Antique Lot Entrance (2:00 PM)
-Antique and Interiors Lot (Closes at 3:30 PM)
-Webb Street (Closes at 3:30 PM)
-Canton St. (HWY 9 - Norcross St.) at 5:00 PM

Roads will fully reopen when Public Safety leaders deem streets are safe for regular operations.

Presented by the City of Roswell, Alive in Roswell features music, food trucks, interactive vendors, and enjoys participation from the many surrounding boutiques, small businesses and restaurants.

🚧 Heads up: our main entrance on Holcomb Bridge Road is closing for construction.

Starting Monday, October 12 (weather permitting), the main entrance/exit to the Roswell Public Safety Headquarters and Roswell Summit buildings at 1080 Holcomb Bridge Road will close for roadway construction on the SR 400 Express Lanes project. The closure is expected to last about 2 years.

We're still here and still accessible. Please use the entrances on Old Dogwood Road to reach the Public Safety Headquarters.

The MARTA bus stop on Holcomb Bridge Road at Old Dogwood Road will remain open at this time.

CASE UPDATE | 2024 Homicide Investigation Closed

The Roswell Police Department is providing a final update regarding the tragic murder of 47-year-old Blanca Sauer, who was found deceased on Christmas Eve 2024.

In mid-2025, detectives received information indicating that the suspect, Roberto Dominguez Soto, had died by su***de in Mexico. Through ongoing coordination with federal and international partners, investigators worked to verify the accuracy of this information and confirmed he acted alone. Following that thorough confirmation, Ms. Sauer’s family was updated, and the investigation has been formally closed.

We are sharing this update so our community, who mourned with us and helped seek answers, knows the final outcome. Above all, our thoughts remain with Ms. Sauer’s family and loved ones as they continue to grieve and heal.

On the heels of our Victim Advocate Partners meeting yesterday, today we brought together a different, yet equally vital, group of community leaders for a similar mission.

Each year, police departments across the country participate in National Faith & Blue, an initiative centered on building stronger bridges between law enforcement and faith-based organizations.

Here in Roswell, we mark the occasion by bringing faith leaders from houses of worship across our city together at the Roswell River Landing for an annual luncheon.

Beyond sharing a meal, this gathering gives us a dedicated space to sit down at the same table, talk openly about local needs and concerns, and work together on practical problem-solving for our community.

When a crisis strikes, it takes an entire community working together to help people become survivors rather than victims.

In 2023, Roswell PD’s victim advocate noticed a need for increased collaboration and communication in the victim advocacy space. What started as seven people meeting together has now grown to a network of 250 members.

This week we had the pleasure of bringing the group back home to its roots, hosting the latest meeting right here at Roswell PD.

The Victim Advocate Partners of Fulton County bridges the gap between law enforcement, school social workers, prosecutors, mental health professionals, and local non-profits. By sharing expertise and direct contact information, this network ensures that victims receive immediate, comprehensive support.

Thank you to all the dedicated professionals who continue to show up, share their expertise, and ensure our community is supported when it matters most.
