Last week we were able to connect with Samantha Racine of Easthampton High School to award her the Western Massachusetts Colin Powell Service Award!

Sam was nominated by Staff Sergeant Soto of the Massachusetts National Guard for her extraordinary work in allowing students to consider multiple options following high school, including military service.

Each year, Our Community Salutes of Massachusetts recognizes two counselors, one in Eastern Massachusetts and one in Western Massachusetts, for their support to students. Sam was unable to attend our Enlistee Recognition Ceremony in April.

The community fair is getting busy as recruits and their families arrive and learn of the many resources available to them during their service and after.

Doors open in just under an hour for the OCS community fair, followed by the ceremony at 3pm. We can’t wait to see all these seats filled by the future of our nation’s military!

Today is the day! Tune in at 3pm Eastern to stream the ceremony on Facebook Live. We can't wait to celebrate these young patriots!

Each year we are the first to say "Thank You" to the young men and women from Massachusetts and surrounding states who are enlisting in the U.S. Military.
We are asking everyone to contribute in support of this April 2026 event. Pass along your thanks in a note when you donate.

Supporting Massachusetts' newest enlistees.

Your help is needed to get the word out! If you know any high school guidance counselors who can share this information with graduating seniors who've enlisted in the military, or if you know of any seniors yourself, we'd love to recognize them during the 2026 ceremony at Gillette Stadium on April 25th. The deadline to register is fast approaching (April 11th). And if you're moved to help make this event a success by donating financially, you can visit https://givebutter.com/UdtGt2
