Come see your Royal Oak Firefighters this Saturday, October 17th, at the Farmer’s Market from 10am - 1pm and learn HANDS-ONLY CPR!

We’ll show you how to recognize when someone is in cardiac arrest and what to do until EMS arrives. It’s a quick, 10 - 15 minute hands-on presentation.

This is not a traditional CPR class, and no completion cards will be issued. Just a chance to learn a skill that could save someone’s life!

Today was the annual walk to school with Oakridge Elementary. The Royal Oak Fire Department, Police Department and the Department of Public Works walked with the children and their families to promote healthy habits, pedestrian safety and community connections. Great job everyone! Hope you had a great day at school today!

We can't wait to see you all at Station 1 for the Royal Oak Firefighter's annual OPEN HOUSE!!!! Come check out the smoke house, watch your firefighters demonstrate a vehicle extrication, watch the stove fire presentation and how we encourage you to safely handle it. AND... Donuts and C***r.

TBT - 2017 Guns and Hoses hockey game.

Which brings up the upcoming Charity hockey game!! Mark your calendars, on October 10th at the Lindell Ice Arena, the Royal Oak Fire Fighters and Police Officers face off at 5:30. All proceeds are donated to Gilda's Club.
Tickets are still available at any of the 3 Royal Oak Fire Stations and at the Police Department.

We hope to see you there!!!

Gilda’s Club has been part of the Royal Oak community for over 30 years, providing free support, education, resources, and a place of connection for people affected by cancer and their families, reminding us that no one has to fight alone.

Thank you to First Merchant Bank of Royal Oak for being the proud Sponsor of this Event.

Please come out on October 10th and support this great cause while watching some of your local firefighters and police officers face off!

All proceeds will be donated to help support programs at Gilda’s Club Metro Detroit.

Come out, have some fun, support your local first responders, and most importantly, support a great cause that makes a difference for local families affected by cancer.
