Michael Myers Spotted Again!

Despite reports that authorities are searching for him, Michael Myers doesn’t appear too concerned.

He was recently spotted at Main Street Emporium- Ice Cream & Coffee enjoying a sweet treat.

Apparently, even Michael Myers has a sweet tooth.🎃

Week 7 of the Citizens Police Academy gave participants a hands-on look at some of the split-second decisions officers face in the field.

Last night, participants worked through realistic “shoot/don’t shoot” scenarios using Simunition training equipment while responding to suspicious person calls and conducting traffic stops. These scenarios are designed to test communication, decision-making, awareness, and reaction under pressure in a safe training environment.

Everyone did an outstanding job, and several participants quickly learned just how fast situations can change and how important clear communication and sound judgment really are.

Thank you to Detective Bowen and our Volunteers in Policing (VIP) for helping make the training possible and for giving our CPA participants another great behind-the-scenes experience into law enforcement training.

🎃 ANOTHER MICHAEL MYERS SIGHTING! 👀

First, he was spotted lurking around City Lake Park. Now, it appears Michael Myers has decided to do a little shopping at Walmart.

He was spotted in the toy aisle checking out teddy bears. 🧸 Maybe this whole good behavior thing is actually working out after all…

However, we’ve also received reports that he spent an unusually long time browsing the cutlery section…

We’re starting to have our doubts about that good behavior…

Stay tuned, Royse City! 👀🎃

Week 6 of our Citizens Police Academy focused on medical emergencies and the important role first responders play when every second counts.

Participants started the evening with a simulated emergency response involving the Royse City Fire Department, AMR, and Air Evac 67. They also received hands-on instruction in CPR and Stop the Bleed, learning valuable skills that could help save a life.

A special thank you to Paramedics Taylor Houston and David McLaughlin for leading the evening's training, as well as AMR Hunt County Texas, and Royse City Fire Department for helping make this class possible!
