Wondering where FEMA recovery projects stand in the Village? You can now track the progress!

The Village of Ruidoso has launched a FEMA-Funded Project Progress page designed to help residents better understand the recovery and mitigation work happening throughout the community following the DR-4795-NM disaster declaration.

The page includes a live project tracker showing the status of FEMA-funded work involving roads, bridges, utilities, public buildings, parks, flood mitigation, debris removal, and more through FEMA’s Public Assistance (PA) Program.

Residents can:
- View active and completed projects
- See what stage each project is in
- Learn how FEMA funding works
- Follow recovery progress in real time

This resource is intended to provide greater insight into the work taking place as recovery efforts continue across the Village.

Many FEMA-funded recovery projects happen in phases, which means residents may see planning, engineering, environmental review, or other behind-the-scenes work taking place long before construction begins.

Before projects can move forward, FEMA funding often requires multiple layers of federal approval, documentation, and cost validation. The project tracker will continue to evolve as projects move through the process and are approved, funded, and completed.

Recovery is a long-term process. This tool offers residents a way to follow the work underway and better understand how projects move from planning to completion.

New Mexico Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (DHSEM) Home Recovery Program: Town Halls & Workshops

Residents in Lincoln County can get in-person help and learn more about the New Mexico Home Recovery Program through upcoming town halls and workshops.

Attendees can:
- Get help completing applications
- Receive assistance with document submission

Workshops will focus on hands-on application assistance, while town halls will provide program updates, answer questions, and gather community feedback.

Lincoln National Forest Road Closures

The U.S. Forest Service - Lincoln National Forest has announced temporary closures following damage from recent tropical storms. The closures are currently scheduled to remain in effect through January 1, 2027, unless rescinded earlier.
