🚨 FROM CHIEF BOUCHER & EVERY MEMBER OF THIS DEPARTMENT 🚨
To everyone who came out and supported the 10th Annual Runaway Bay Volunteer Fire Department Fish Fry - thank you!
Seeing so many of our neighbors, friends and families together Saturday meant more to us than you probably realize.
Because this department isn’t just a building with some fire trucks sitting inside of it.
It’s YOUR Fire Department.
The men and women who serve here are your neighbors. We live here. Our families are here. We see you at the store, at the lake, at ball games and community events. And when those tones drop, the person needing us isn’t just another call or an address on a screen.
It’s one of our own.
Saturday, this community showed up for us and so many people helped make this night possible.
❤️ The White family - for the generous donation of the Event Center.
🍽️ 1 Stop, Bush’s Chicken, Crazy Pablo’s, Lowe’s Grocery, Lea Holt and the Ladies Golf Association - for donations of food, desserts and tea.
🎟️ AutoZone, Tractor Supply, Euphoria, GRBA, Kevin Previe, Bobby Cox, Sherry Hicks, Cindy Fuller and Tracy Butler - for donating items to our silent auction.
👕 Shredderz Graffix - for our awesome shirts and banner.
🚁 Air Evac Lifeteam 68 - for flying in and giving the kids an experience they won’t forget.
🎶 Dr. Dan and the Toothaches - for the incredible live music. We think y’all are keepers!
And last, but certainly not least, the Jacksboro community. You showed up in full force to support Joey Highfill, and seeing that kind of love meant more than we can put into words.
There were also countless people who volunteered, baked desserts, donated, bought raffle tickets, bid on auction items and simply walked through those doors to support this department. If we accidentally left anyone out, please know it was absolutely not intentional.
Thank you for believing in this department. Thank you for supporting these firefighters. And thank you for reminding all of us just how special what we have here really is.
This is our community.
This is our home.
Runaway Bay, we are proud to serve you and Wise County, thank you for always showing up. 🚒❤️
