Fire Prevention and Safety Day at Rural Retreat Elementary

10/06/2026

This week is National Fire Prevention Week!! The Rural Retreat Volunteer Fire Department in conjunction with the Virginia Department of Fire Programs through a Community Outreach Grant Program for Smoke Alarms Save Lives. If you live in the Rural Retreat Fire Protection District and you need smoke alarms you can reach out to us on our Facebook Messenger or contact any member of the Department. We can provide you with smoke alarm properly installed by RRFD personnel. In the event of a fire in your home toxic smoke and fumes can fill your home before flames are seen. Working fire alarms can give you early warning to escape safety!
