IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO SHARE!

*TRANSFER STATION TEMPORARY CLOSURE*

Utility work for the new transfer station was originally scheduled to begin in July, but unavoidable delays have pushed the start date to Tuesday, September 8.

The transfer station will be closed during the week of September 8. It will reopen on Saturday, September 12, for Tox-Away Day.

The Rushville Animal Shelter will remain open during this time.

Local contractor RL C**n will begin installing new storm lines and other utilities along Van Sickle Street. This work will require street cuts on Smiley Avenue, temporarily limiting access to the current transfer station.

We will work to reopen the transfer station for regular weekly service as soon as possible. The schedule will depend on construction progress and weather conditions. Additional updates will be provided as they become available.
