🚒🎳 FIRE & STRIKES! 🎳🚒
The firefighters are trading in their hoses for bowling balls! 🔥 Come out and support the 1st Annual RGFD Bowling Tournament. We’re hoping for a good time and hoping the only thing getting knocked down faster than a burning building is… hopefully, the pins. 😂
There will be strikes, spares, questionable bowling techniques, and at least one firefighter blaming the lane conditions(Brandon)👨‍🚒🎳
No fires. No sirens. Just good friends, bad bowling, and bragging for a wonderful cause for our crew!! For any questions, contact Kyle or any RGFD member and we can sure help you out. And lastly, thank you for your support!!!

Been quite the busy week at RGFD.. on 8-12-26 RGFD was paged out for vehicle fire on interstate. Crews responded and contents were considered a total loss. We want to thank Gorham Fire District #1 for their help with mutual aid

On 8-14-26 RGFD was paged out for the report of hay bales on fire. Crews again responded and the bales were extinguished.

Lastly today, RGFD was paged out for the report of a structure fire with a possible subject trapped. The subject was able to exit the residence safely. Cause of the fire is unknown at this time. We want to thank City of Russell Fire Department for their help with mutual aid.

We’re all tired after all these calls, but as always trucks and our guys are always ready to go. And through great mutual aid partnerships, extra personnel especially with the heat keeps everyone safe.

Everyone sees the heroes in public (Fire, EMS, Law Enforcement). What they don’t see are the heroes behind the headsets. They are the ones who get all of us headed in the right direction, relaying vital information, you name it! All while sitting behind their screens during the chaos of a call. National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week is this week and from all of us at RGFD, this token of gratitude is never thanks enough for all that you do for us!!!

Over the weekend, members from RGFD attended the annual Kansas State Firefighters Association conference. It was a wonderful time and exceptional training throughout. Kalli Reinhardt was also awarded a scholarship through the association and recognized during the banquet. Pictured with Kalli is her mom Brandi and dad Ryan who is a Lieutenant and Assistant Chief Kyle Donovan!! Second picture is Kalli receiving her scholarship from KSFFA President Shane Pearson!

We’re in for yet another round of high winds which means extremely high fire danger. We’re asking any of our area farmers that have tillage equipment and water trailers to have them on standby. They are more of an asset than one might realize

🔥🔥🔥We can't stress this enough, tomorrow, we are in a red flag warning. What does this mean? This means that if a fire were to occur, it could be catastrophic and grow rapidly. If you have recently had a controlled burn, today is the day to ensure it is out. Do not conduct any open burning tomorrow.🔥🔥🔥

Make your plans today to prepare for the extreme danger tomorrow!
