DCSR Fire Department members replaced any torn or weathered Firefighter flags at the Clare cemetery today and found a couple graves of past members that did not have flags on them and put new holders and flags on the them. If you have a love one that is laid to rest at at the Clare cemetery that was a past DCSR Volunteer Fire Department member and their grave does not have a flag please let us know and we will get a flag put up immediately. Or if you have a loved one buried at another cemetery that was a past member, we can give you a flag and flag holder to place on their grave. Reach us on Facebook or leave a message on the Fire Department’s phone at 315-562-3490.

Two of our fire department vehicles were vandalized. Both had 2 holes DRILLED through the bottom of the gas tanks and all the gas drained out and stolen. One is a vintage 1976 Chevy van that is not currently on the road, and the other is R13 which is a 2000 Ford E350 which is used to house all of our outdoor fire fighting gear and pumps and responds to outside fires, it had a FULL 35 gallon tank of gas. Both vehicles were parked on the back side of the parking lot by the fire siren tower. If anyone saw any suspicious activity please contact the Fire Department through FB messenger or call 315-562-3490. The incident has been reported to the NYSP.
