Campbell County is pleased to announce that our new software is up and running, bringing exciting upgrades and more convenient ways to pay your taxes. Pay online by credit card or choose e-check for a flat fee of just $1.95 per transaction - no standing in line to pay by check! No more waiting for your check to clear due to mass amounts of backlogged mail! Scan the QR code on the graphic to access our new online payment portal. 2026 second installment tax bills will be mailed in the coming weeks as we get settled into our new system. We're extra excited about this bill cycle, as we'll be equipped with some updated, time saving features.

The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is partnering once again with the DEA for National Drug Take Back Day. This initiative provides residents with a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unwanted, unused, or expired prescription medications — no questions asked. The goal is to help prevent medication misuse, accidental ingestion, and environmental contamination caused by improper disposal.

The collection site will be in the back parking lot of the Sheriff's Office (87 Courthouse Ln, Rustburg, VA) on Saturday, October 24 from 10am-2pm. For more information, visit: https://www.co.campbell.va.us/m/NewsFlash/home/detail/918

UPDATE: The Treasurer's Office, Commissioner of the Revenue's Office and Real Estate Office will close to the public and internal departments starting Wednesday, September 30 for the Edmunds software conversion. For quality assurance for both residents and internal users, these offices will open and resume normal operations on Tuesday, October 6.
