Does Your Family Have a Fire Escape Plan?

A fire escape plan is something every household should have and everyone in the home should understand.

This Fire Prevention Week, take a few minutes to create or review your plan:

Identify two ways out of each room when possible.
Choose a designated meeting place outside.
Keep hallways, doors, and other exits clear and accessible.
Practice the plan with children so they know what to do.
Plan for pets or family members who may need assistance.

Having a plan is a good start. Practicing it helps make sure everyone knows what to do and where to go.

This Fire Prevention Week, be available to plan it, practice it, and review it together.

Prepare. Plan. Practice it.

🧯 FIRE EXTINGUISHERS

You probably know where your fire extinguisher is.

But when was the last time you actually looked at it?

Take two minutes today and check:

🧯 Can you get to it quickly β€” or is it buried behind stuff?
🧯 Is the pressure gauge in the proper range?
🧯 Does it show any damage, rust or leakage?
🧯 Do the people in your home or business know where it is?
🧯 And most importantly… do you know how to use it?

Having a fire extinguisher and being prepared to use one are two very different things.

Go find yours today and take a look. Then come back later β€” we’re going to show you the simple PASS method for using one.

Together, we can help protect our homes, businesses, and loved ones.
