* At 906 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 3 miles east of Cache to 5 miles west of Temple to 3
miles northwest of Petrolia to near Dean, moving east at 50 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

This event will be moved to the Jefferson County Fair Grounds at 802 East D Ave. because of possible inclement weather. Dinner still starts at 5PM and the movie night will follow after. Please share.

We would like to thank Walker and Linda Ryan for donating some beef to our firefighter and first responder appreciation lunch this Sunday at the RHS Cafeteria. If you are interested in joining the cause and would like to donate, please let Ms. Welchel or an officer know. Also, please spread the word to all Jefferson county firefighters!

Thank You to the Ryan FFA for putting this on.

Typically when you think of FFA you think of Future Farmers of America. However in this case our F.F. A. Lunch is for Firefighters and First Responders Appreciation! All firefighters and first responders from around the area are welcome to a free lunch as a thank you for keeping our communities & citizens safe! We will be serving Indian tacos, drinks, and desserts! Additionally if any donations are made, we will be drawing a local department to give said donations back to! If anyone is interested in donating any ground beef, desserts, etc. to the cause please reach out to an FFA Officer or Ms Welchel. We look forward to serving those who serve us! Please spread the word!

Thank you to all of the surrounding fire departments and the ones with their personal trucks that was able to help put out the grass fire this evening east of town. These are extremely dry conditions and it takes a lot to get these fires knocked down. It takes great team work and good communication to get these fires out quickly and we truly appreciate the help .
