I apologize that it has been so long since my last post. I have talked to our new detective and was told the suspect is locked up on un-related charges.🤯 I was also told again that witnesses will not talk and there is not enough physical evidence for them to be confident to convict the suspects. They still will not tell me who this person or persons is. And we still do not have any answers or justice! I have recently reached out to unsolved mysteries, cold case, and a few news networks for help in getting this case solved, Along with answers and justice for my father and our family! Please keep posting, sharing and praying for justice!

Got the call that they are reopening his case!!!🥰 The detective's that were working his case are retired and/or have moved on to new things. The new detective has asked for a few months too familiarize theirselves with the case. I understand they have a lot of other cases. However we now have attention, and momentum in getting answers.🥳🥰❤

Larry A. Parks was tragically murdered on January 15th 2008 on the corner of Orangeville Avenue and Benning Street. He was found just after 8 p.m. with multiple stab wounds to his upper body, where he was then taken to an area Hospital, and later died.

Sheriff's detectives at the time had no suspects and no motive, and we're asking anyone with any information to call Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP. Stating that callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for up to $1,000 reward.

His homicide took place about 5 hours after an unrelated fatal shooting in Carmichael, and he was listed as the county's 5th homicide victim in less than a week.

The Sacramento Bee ran their first story on Thursday January 17th 2008 with a headline of "Man is fatally stabbed in Orangevale". They ran their second story on Saturday January 19th 2008 with a headline of "Homeless stabbing victim identified". So here is my question to the Sacbee how does our father go from a Man to a homeless stabbing victim? Answer he Doesn't! Our Father may not have always made the best choices in life, but who does? Larry Parks was a son, a brother, a father, a grandfather, a uncle, a coach, and the most caring person you would ever meet! For the Sacbee to label him in this way is careless, heartbreaking to our family, and I feel pushed his case to the back burner because he was "ONLY" a homeless man right? WRONG!!!

Larry was 47 at the time of his tragic death. His family is tired of not having answers and is seeking the truth. If you have any information please reach out to us, Crime Alert, or the Sacramento County homicide department in regards to case # 08-3464 and help us get justice served!
