Don't forget to participate in the precinct and county conventions on Sat March 7th (precinct convention) and Sat Mar 28 (County convention). Bring any friends or neighbors you have met. The convention allows you to propose resolutions that might be considered in the Republican platform for the state of Texas. Think of it as ideas for our state representatives and state senators to focus on in the next legislative session and potentially amend existing laws or remove bad laws. The precinct convention should not be terribly long perhaps 2 hours. The county convention may be a bit longer and I believe lunch is planned. I will be there for sure. Many candidates just elected in the primary or in the runoff will most likely be there as well.

Refer to my earlier post on this page for locations and times.

If you have ever said "The party should..." then this is where that actually happens.

After Day 5 of Early Voting, Democrats are casting 72 votes for every 100 Republican votes. In 2024, that ratio was 15 per 100.

That is a meaningful shift.

Brazos County is historically a Republican county. But sustained turnout gaps like this are how red counties start to trend purple — not because voters changed overnight, but because one side showed up.

Turnout is organizational. And organization is leadership. This is exactly why our county party should be:

• Sending daily turnout updates
• Activating every precinct chair
• Pushing coordinated email and text reminders
• Mobilizing block walkers in high-propensity Republican neighborhoods
