Blue Heron Programs

This week, Yolo Gaggle had the opportunity to put our new Blue Heron Programs office space to great use by coming together for a meaningful community service project! 💙
As a team, we created hygiene kits to donate to individuals in need and included handwritten words of encouragement and affirmation in each kit. ✨ Sometimes a small act of kindness can make a big difference, and we were proud to spread a little positivity throughout our community.
It was a great day of teamwork, compassion, and giving back. We are so grateful for the opportunity to make an impact together! 🤝💙

Our program will be closed on Friday, June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. Thank you, and we hope everyone has a safe and meaningful holiday! ❤️

Roseville gaggle did a fun experiential activity by going on an observation walk, where we challenged ourselves to notice one thing we could see, one thing we could hear, and one thing we could smell. The group really enjoyed it - such a simple, meaningful way to build awareness and practice mindfulness.

Our scavenger hunt had everyone exploring, working together, and practicing observation skills while enjoying a beautiful day outdoors. 🔍💙

🎨 Marble Painting Day at Art Club!

Team Yolo had a blast creating colorful abstract artwork by rolling paint-covered marbles across the page. Every masterpiece was unique, and everyone had the chance to explore, create, and have fun together!

🎭✨ Today, the Yolo Gaggle had an incredible experiential learning adventure at the UC Davis Mondavi Center! 🎶🏛️
Participants enjoyed a behind-the-scenes tour of both theaters, learning about the rich history of the building, the inner workings of theater operations, and everything that goes into bringing live performances to the stage. 🎤🎬🎟️
A big thank you to the Mondavi Center staff for sharing their knowledge and giving us a memorable experience! 💙💛

Roseville gaggle had a blast doing a sensory scavenger hunt at The Nugget! The group jumped right in, exploring the store with curiosity and confidence!

The participants each showed strong independence in their decision‑making!

The Nugget turned out to be the perfect environment for this activity: colorful produce, interesting textures, unique smells, and plenty of opportunities for choice‑making.
