For 70 years, the Cypress Police Department has proudly served and protected our community.
In 1956, the City of Cypress was incorporated, and with it came the formation of our Police Department—built on a foundation of service, integrity, and partnership with the community. What began as a small agency serving a growing town has evolved into a modern, professional department committed to public safety, proactive policing, and community engagement.
To honor this milestone, our officers will be wearing a commemorative 70th Anniversary patch for the remainder of the year. This patch represents seven decades of dedication, progress, and the strong partnership we share with the community we are proud to call home.
Thank you, Cypress, for 70 years of trust and support. Here’s to continuing our mission—together.
