What Is A Notary Public?

A notary public is a public officer appointed by the Secretary of the State, whose function is to administer oaths; to take acknowledgments of deeds & other instruments.

A notary public serves as an impartial witness to facilitate the workings of commerce to certain sensitive signed documents. When a document is notarized, the public can be sure that signer is not an imposter and by contracting parties can be assured that the document they have signed and no other will have the complete effect.

Hello all this page is to help educate on what a notary is able to help with.

The notarization process is typically simple. You present a document to a notary public and sign it in their presence. After that, the notary officially notarizes the document using an official stamp, writes in the date, and adds their own signature.
