UPDATE: Great news for community safety! Our deputy district attorney attended Hettiger’s parole hearing to oppose his release, and the Board of Parole has issued a three-year denial. Our office remains committed to advocating for victims and protecting the public by opposing early release for individuals who continue to pose a threat.

Defendant Sentenced for 22 Counts of Child Sexual Assault

On May 8, 2026, the Honorable Deborah Lobre sentenced Bobbie Owen to 39 years and 4 months in prison. On March 23, 2026, Owen was convicted by a jury of 22 counts of child sexual assault, including lewd acts on a child, oral copulation and digital pe*******on with a foreign object.
